Meet the Founder
Ajibola Ponnle is an accomplished Consultant, Accountant, Facilitator, Entrepreneur, Executive Coach and Speaker. She has unique skills set and breadth of experience that straddles various professions and industries including finance, human resource management, governance (private and public sector), event management and consultancy. Ajibola is a transformational and result-oriented leader with demonstrated competence (knowledge, skills and experience) in start-ups (SMEs), volunteer/member-led organisations and multinationals. With remarkable cultural and political sensitivity and awareness, she has worked extensively with and in both Private and Public Sector. She excels in periods of change and uncertainty, possessing the ability to work effectively through others, bridging generational gaps to achieve extraordinary results.
With a B.Sc. in Economics and M.Sc. in Organisational Behaviour, she is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Practitioner with 30 years’ experience. She started her career with Arthur Andersen (now KPMG International) and worked with British American Tobacco and Nigerian Tobacco Company, where she pioneered the establishment of the Marketing Finance Department.
In pursuit of her dream to be an entrepreneur Ajibola left BAT and went on to establish several businesses including TeamBuilding Africa Consultancy in 2007, Centre for CoRe Coaching and Household Executives amongst others. Augmenting her career along the way, she is now an organisational psychologist and certified professional coach, energy leadership index-master practitioner and British Psychological Society Certified Test User: Occupational – Ability and Personality.
Ajibola left her companies in trust after her appointment in 2017 as the Registrar/CEO of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and in 2019 was appointed by Governor of Lagos State to serve as the Commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pensions, responsible for the capacity development, establishment (policy procedure and career management) and pension related needs of over 65,000 workforces. In this capacity, she introduced new ways of working to the public service and launched several innovative initiatives. The main focus of her work was to accelerate capacity development, build efficiency and effectiveness into existing processes leveraging technology to achieve improved results and services. She was a member of various high-level strategic committees including Lagos Economic Summit Group, Lagos Medium Term Development Plan and management of Executive Council Strategic retreats and capacity development amongst others.
Recently, she earned the coveted Public Leadership Credential from the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School of Public Leadership equipping her with the relevant knowledge and skills to pursue her renewed vision as a social entrepreneur. Her core competencies include transformational leadership, public sector leadership, financial management, labour union management and negotiations, global strategic alliances and partnerships, strategic planning, employee engagement, training and facilitation and executive coaching. She is a consummate professional with strong work ethics and commitment to continuous improvement and excellence. She is passionate about human-centred change in Africa.
